Raised on a farm in Illinois with those long, winter evenings taught me to love music, books, sewing, paper dolls, playing with dolls. This helped lead me to doll making after John and I had two daughters. John and I went to high school together, but we both went our separate ways for 11 years after graduating. In 1972 I saw him on TV (he was a TV news anchor/reporter) and thought he looked pretty nice. We married in 1973, and the rest, as they say, is history.
Doll making, and other fiber arts, have opened a wonderful world for me. I've traveled all over the U.S., Australia, New Zealand and England because of this love. And, I now have 4 books published. You'll read about those on my web site and here.
